When trees start to bud and that first sunny, warm day shows up, we start to think about clearing clutter (although I am by no means referring to books as clutter) and organizing our space. We finally have some get up and go. In an effort to get my books organized this spring I came across some interesting articles to help.
Bookends are another important tool for organizing those books this spring and the New York Times has you covered. While the bookends featured in the article are pricey, there are suggestions for lesser priced and even free bookends.
The Organized Home (the newest Website from the editors of Remodelista and Gardenista) has an article on the seven best canvas bins for books and more for those inclined to the modern farmhouse look so popular right now. Also on The Organized Home website are DIY bookshelves, unexpected places to store books, and modular bookshelves.
This should be enough to get you started on organizing those books as part of your spring cleaning ritual, but I do have to ask, why spend time organizing your books when you can read?
